Eviction Crisis Act of 2026

(a) In general. The Secretary shall award grants to local governments and nonprofit organizations to set up programs to collect data from landlords on illegal evictions in the United States.

(b) Authorization of appropriations. There are authorized to be appropriated to the Secretary such sums as may be necessary for each of fiscal years 2027 through 2031 to provide grants under this section.
