Text of the bill
I Commodities
A Commodity Policy
Section 1112(e) of the Agricultural Act of 2014 (7 U.S.C. 9012(e)) is amended—
(1) in paragraph (1)—
(A) in the first sentence, by striking a total of not more than an additional 30,000,000 base acres and inserting additional base acres; and
(B) by adding at the end the following: The total number of additional base acres allocated under this subsection may not exceed the lesser of the number of base acres eligible to be allocated under this subsection during the period beginning on the date of enactment of this subsection and ending on September 1, 2026, less any base acres that owners of farms elect not to receive, and 31,500,000.; and
(2) in paragraph (6)—
(A) by striking exceed 30,000,000 acres and inserting exceed the maximum total number of acres described in paragraph (1); and
(B) by striking equal to 30,000,000 acres and inserting equal to that maximum total number of acres.
