Text of the bill
On January 7, 2026, an ICE officer shot and killed 37-year-old Renée Nicole Good, an unarmed civilian, U.S. citizen, Minneapolis resident, wife, mother of young children, and poet. Video evidence demonstrates and witnesses confirm that she posed no threat to ICE officers when an ICE officer opened fire, shooting her three times, striking her in the head, and killing her. ICE officers failed to render any aid to Ms. Good, in violation of DHS policies, and blocked and then delayed emergency medical personnel from reaching her. This is an unjustified killing.
