Text of the bill
A Protection of Federally Supported Cultural Institutions
(a) Commitment to truthful history. It is the policy of the United States that the Smithsonian Institution and other Federally supported cultural Institutions have the right and responsibility to present history that is factual, evidence-based, and inclusive of the diverse experiences and contributions of all people in the United States.
(b) Protection of inclusive programming. Congress affirms that Federally supported Institutions may research, curate, and present exhibitions addressing—
(1) the history of racism, sexism, classism, and other forms of structural inequality;
(2) the contributions of African Americans, women, Indigenous peoples, immigrants, and other historically underrepresented groups;
(3) the intersections of art, science, culture, and democracy; and
(4) contemporary challenges to liberty, equality, and justice, consistent with each Institution's mission.
