V ADMINISTRATION AND GENERAL PROVISIONS

Sec. 501. State and Tribal Consultation

(a) Consultation. In carrying out this Act, the Secretary shall consult with—

(1) the Colorado River Basin States;

(2) Indian Tribes with water rights or other interests affected by a project;

(3) affected water districts and local governments; and

(4) affected water users.

(b) No veto power implied. Nothing in this section shall be construed to provide a State or political subdivision with authority to veto a project otherwise authorized by Federal law.
